THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Perhaps, that is why they said in the East End.

Tanker,

I quite agree.

We have enough of our own thieving Bs in London already.

Especially with beer £10 a pint.

Fred1new - 24 Apr 2012 15:21 - 16355 of 71859

Anybody who thought that politics was not corrupt will be "very" disillusioned by the Leveson enquiry.

It strikes me as if the tories were back in charge of the thiefdom and were happy to buy power.

------------

As far as the Barclay brothers, have a sniff around Sarky

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2008/dec/12/barclay-brothers-sark-democratic-election

Interesting.

But many of their activities are of interest, but not reflected in the Media, perhaps because of the ownerships.

TANKER - 24 Apr 2012 15:36 - 16356 of 71859

fred if you pay over 300p a pint you deserve to pay it .
simple comes to mind if fools did not buy it .it would soon come down.

TANKER - 24 Apr 2012 15:37 - 16357 of 71859

fred was you the only child

Fred1new - 24 Apr 2012 16:09 - 16358 of 71859

I don't buy beer in London.

I have deep pockets, but short arms.

----------------

I had two sets of parents.

One was a set of elderly brother and sister, but with 4 daughters I have have five wives.

That is why I learnt to run.

TANKER - 24 Apr 2012 19:21 - 16361 of 71859

onechild three fools

Something that might interest everybody : and shocking for Cornish people : I have have just found sliced (thin slices) of carrot in a Ginster Cornish pasty bought from Tesco !......scandalous.....now are there red swedes or onions ?.....I thought they were white...(no puns please)...now I have to say that the pasty was very good...so don't get me wrong...and I love carrots....but a recipe is a recipe,....protected by european law....

Fred1new - 24 Apr 2012 22:23 - 16363 of 71859

Complain to Dave about it.

He knows all about them, other than when and where he bought one.

skinny - 25 Apr 2012 06:52 - 16364 of 71859

They don't let much on, but I thought the "stock" veg were potato, swede and maybe onion?

Ginster's ingrediients.

required field - 25 Apr 2012 08:11 - 16365 of 71859

There were several slices (very thin) of to me what looks like carrot very red....perhaps it is red variety of parsnip...?....not an onion...can only be swede or parsnip red variety (if that exists) if it is not carrot...looks like carrot...tastes like carrot....

Fred1new - 25 Apr 2012 09:47 - 16366 of 71859

Double dip.

But U-turn government is saying it is not our fault.

But, we tories blame the labour party, Maggie Hatchet, Europe, the World, Murdock.

Everybody except ourselves.

========

But with Cameroon supporting him, Hunt must feel safe.

=======

What a government.

Cameron and Osborne, not worth a carrot, please go now.

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 10:57 - 16367 of 71859

Why are you complaining now when you said you didn't vote , if you felt this strongly about the Tory's why did you waste your vote ?

Haystack - 25 Apr 2012 11:10 - 16368 of 71859

Double dip based on temporary figures. They will almost certainly be revised upwards and mean no double dip. Sorry to disappoint you Fred.

Fred1new - 25 Apr 2012 17:27 - 16369 of 71859

Alds,

Didn't think much of the other parties.

If you look back at earlier post, at time of the last election, you may see other reasons for me not wishing to doing so.

Hays,

The last thing I wish for is a recession, but as previously suggested that with this government of u-turns, incompetence and crazy economic policies was going to produce the chaos we are now seeing.

The leadership and disarray reminds me of the sleaziness and misgovernment of the Major years.

Unfortunately, many honest. hard working and decent individuals and their families, who don't deserves the social problems being created by Osborne and Cameron's bluster and stupidity are going to suffer and not members of the cabinet and their cronies.

That is what stinks to me.

-----------------

Listening to the shenanigans of the Cameron and Murdochs at the Leveson enquiry this is to my mind a corrupt political period.

Haystack - 25 Apr 2012 17:51 - 16370 of 71859

I see no chaos. I see quite sensible policies. The international community liikes our policies as well. We consistently get high credit rating and praise for our policies. I can see Labour don't like them as their polcies are 'tax and spend' and when that doesn't work they try 'borrow and spend'. The Keynesian economists like Ed Ball are still whining their constant refrain of government intervention and public spending.

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 18:09 - 16371 of 71859

Fred

If you were thinking that , then why was/are all your post's anti Tory , anyway there is no excuse for wasting your vote when other people are dieing for the right to vote.

Fred1new - 25 Apr 2012 18:45 - 16372 of 71859

Hays,

Wait for the next credit rating.

Tories have manage the economy over the last two years, moving from elements of recovery to recession.

B. brilliant.

---------------

Aids,

To help you once again.

Because I was misled by the tory press, tory party and various posters into believing that the tories were going to walk the last election and then walk on water after it.

They were boasting and now appear to be sinking into their own sleaze.

-------

In case you don't realise it, in this country, as yet, I don't need permission, or an excuse not to vote.

People are dying for the right to be able to vote, not necessarily "have to vote".

They are often hoping for a suitable form of democracy.

In this country and many others, democracy is being perverted by money and transfer of cash for honours and purchase of media outlets and propaganda.

Also, media attention or suppression based on future promises.

As can be seen by Leveson and other exposures.

=============

Check the cost or expenses of the USA election.

We are going down the same pathway of bribery and corruption at an ever increasing rate.

aldwickk - 25 Apr 2012 19:04 - 16373 of 71859

Fred

Didn't think you believed everything you read in the press [ the Sun , Mirror ... ] , so you thought that , that landlord was a pervert and had murdered that girl as well ?

I think you should apologise to me for your hypercritical remark's to me.
