THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Small world!!!! That is almost exactly the birthday cake my sister made for all those years ago when I left school and got my first job. For the Post Office!!!!

Forgot to say, Driver and Bos. Thanks on one other point. You are possibly the only two (oh, and EWR)who have made me feel welcome, not small and stupid as an SEO investor on what was a marvellous thread.
Cheers,
Alan

Bloody typical. Spent most of the weekend trying to cure the mother of all hangovers, only to read in the news that my main ingredient in curing (ibuprofen) was going to give me a dodgy ticker!!!
Only one solution left to my hangover problem. Stay drunk. Its tough but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do...........

stockdog - 13 Jun 2005 15:52 - 71 of 81399

Curing oneself of all hangovers is hard enough. You're very brave man to try to cure the mother as well!

hewittalan6 - 13 Jun 2005 15:56 - 72 of 81399

what do you recommend SD? Hair of the dog!!!8-)

jimmy b - 13 Jun 2005 16:36 - 73 of 81399

Alan,,Fried breakfast, and straight back on the booze, you know it makes sense.

hewittalan6 - 13 Jun 2005 16:49 - 74 of 81399

Anyone trying the wifes fried breakfast would be straight back on the booze, its the only way your stomachs got any chance of breaking the fried bread down!!!
Drunk is the only sensible way to face the wifes cooking. Deep fried porridge with a soupcon of garlic is an acquired taste not worth acquiring!!8-)))

Over the last couple of days I've been having one of those " Where is my life going" moments. Only It's lasted days instead of moments. So I decided to get out my late mums photos and make a family tree using old photos. It's been fantastic. If ever you guys need software to touch up old photos, repair tears, refocus, lighten, infact just about anything then Paint Shop Pro is the package. A steep learning curve but the results are well worth it. I can now officially declare I'm a sad git. Still I'm not as bad as my brother in law, he's into model trains with all the scenery.

what a great little thread...

MS, i am pleased you have finally found a corner of the cyber universe to express your unique and revealing character. i envisage you scribing your posts in a trilby and pipe while modifying your latest photos!

Hows the MIL?

mickeyskint - 14 Jun 2005 11:41 - 77 of 81399

PT

Don't forget the cardigan, you know the ones that you could buy in M&S with the leather buttons. Mine was in green bought for me by my dear mother. I didn't have the heart to tell her I hated it.
As for the MIL, my wife has gone to visit today so I'll find out later. Yes it is a great thread, well done GF.

Just thought I'd come in here for my lunch cos its a boring day out there in the heady world of stocks and shares (for my holdings anyway).
Waiter, another slice of that wild fruit crumble please, and be quick about it if you value your tip.

driver - 14 Jun 2005 14:56 - 79 of 81399

My birthday went well, one of my presents was a blue stripe T shirt from Tescos not in color but (blue stripe as in value) The price was left on 2 I do wear there blue stripe range 2 T shirts and 4 jeans, bargain? I dont like to flaunt my wealth.
In the evening I was putting on my whistle and flute because I over heard the other half on the phone to the Ritz London, when she came in she said you wont be needing that we are going to brewers fare (buy one get one free pub) put your jeans on not those Tescos ones either. It turns out she is going to the Ritz on Saturday for afternoon tea with her aunt.
Roll on next year I cant wait. Bless.
