HELSINKI (Thomson Financial) - Nokia Oyj is to strengthen its mobile internet business in a revenue-sharing deal with Italy's Buongiorno SpA., the world's largest mobile content provider, the two companies said on Monday, confirming a press report.
No financial details were given.
Nokia is to put Buongiorno's BlinkoGold mobile site, which carries video, music, graphics and games content, on the Download! application found on 10 Nokia devices.
Italian Nokia mobile users will be the first to have access to the content.
The companies said they also plan to make the content accessible in markets including Spain, France, Brazil, the United States, China and Russia, but did not specify dates.
