LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Rank Group PLC said its internet and telephone betting business, Blue Square, has launched a European sports betting service developed and marketed with 888 Holdings PLC.

The launch of www.888sport.com marks Blue Square's first move into international markets, giving 888's customers access to its sports betting services under a so-called 'white label' agreement, the bingo and casino operator said.

Blue Square also plans to launch later this year www.bingouniversal.com, an online bingo business for the Spanish gaming market, it added.
