Hunting's results yesterday were excellent - market only just made the connection I guess

stockbunny - 27 Aug 2004 16:24 - 4 of 63

guess so GCF - HTG also going well today...

lelael - 10 Jan 2008 10:27 - 5 of 63

anybody know why this has lost ground over the past few days, 390 now was 430 last week.

required field - 04 Mar 2008 09:49 - 6 of 63

No takeover as yet, but excellent results...could go up to 5 in time this one !

cynic - 04 Mar 2008 15:19 - 7 of 63

WG. chart is quite interesting, and one could certainly argue that a bounce is at leasst reasonably likely from 25 dma.

PFC is worth considering because sp has already bounced significantly and with momentum.

of course, no reason why one should not hold both!

UK energy services provider Wood Group said it had not received any takeover approaches and that it was not planning a bid for rival Expro International which said last week it had received an approach.

Chairman Ian Wood told a conference call with reporters that, despite considerable consolidation in the sector, Wood Group had received no bid approaches in the past two years.

cynic - 05 Mar 2008 08:58 - 9 of 63

bought some this morning at 403.5 .... also some WSM at 1287

required field - 05 Mar 2008 09:09 - 10 of 63

About to pull away from 4 area, possible climb up to 4.4 4.5 soon !

cynic - 05 Mar 2008 09:15 - 11 of 63

it will have some pretty stern resistance at 440 which is the all time high

required field - 05 Mar 2008 09:33 - 12 of 63

If it breaks through that the upper 4-5 area should be attainable !

cynic - 05 Mar 2008 14:50 - 13 of 63

all slightly puzzling .... delighted that sp has shot up today, as has WSM, but there is certainly no news out, other than riding on the back of the t/o approach to Expro, so ask myself whether or not i should bank a very quick but very nice profit.

stroreysj - 05 Mar 2008 15:04 - 14 of 63

Exon mobile are to invest $125b into new production year on year so good news for oil service companies

cynic - 05 Mar 2008 15:13 - 15 of 63

is that an exceptional amount for Exxon?

required field - 06 Mar 2008 10:11 - 16 of 63

This is going to seesaw all the way up to 450p !

required field - 06 Mar 2008 10:47 - 17 of 63

Told you so !

cynic - 06 Mar 2008 16:29 - 18 of 63

have banked my profit at 423.25 ..... 4-5% clear in 2 days is not to be sneezed at ..... expect to buy back in here in due course, but Dow is very jittery and could end up anywhere

required field - 06 Mar 2008 17:16 - 19 of 63

Cynic, this goes exdividend on 19/3/08...many a time a share will climb before ...

cynic - 06 Mar 2008 18:05 - 20 of 63

it's an excellent company, as is Wellstream and Petrofac ..... however, as i trade via CFDs and Dow could easily fall below 12000 even tonight (it really can't determine a direction at the mo), then reducing exposure was no more than prudent

required field - 07 Mar 2008 10:38 - 21 of 63

Very resilient today !
